Back in the 1970s, I think, the Park Service closed access to Saguaro National Park via the Madronna Ranch Station on the south side of Mica Mountain.

Trailhead: Within the past several years, the Park acquired new land and added new trails, giving an alternate access from the top of Camino Loma Alta.

Route: We added a run on that route, the Loma Alta Run, which is up to 28.8 miles if one does the full Manning Camp route.
